On 19th May 2026, a delegation of Kenyan Government Officials from the State Department for Trade and the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) led by Ms. Floice Mukabana, CEO of KEPROBA held meeting with Mr. Anderson Santos at Casa Santa Luzia Empório, a renowned gourmet supermarket chain specializing in imported premium products, including speciality teas, nuts, and other healthy food products.
The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for premium Kenyan teas to be introduced and shelved at the supermarket’s flagship store located in the Jardins area of São Paulo, which serves a clientele seeking high-quality, healthy, and internationally sourced products. Discussions highlighted the strong potential for Kenyan speciality teas to penetrate Brazil’s growing gourmet and health-conscious consumer market.
The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Brasília will continue to engage and follow up with key Brazilian importers and distributors to strengthen market linkages and facilitate the entry of premium Kenyan products into the Brazilian market. These efforts are aimed at increasing exports of Kenyan speciality teas, roasted speciality coffee, and macadamia nuts through placement in leading Brazilian retail outlets and gourmet supermarket chains.
