Embassy Participates at the Rondônia Day Tourism Event hosted by the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism in Brasília and the State of Rondônia.

The Embassy represented by Ms. Beatrice Kinyua, Commercial Attaché participated in the Rondônia Day Tourism event that took place at the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism Headquarters in Brasilia on 16th July 2025.

The event was officiated by the Brazilian Minister of Tourism, Celso Sabino de Oliveira and the Governor of the State of Rondônia, Marcos Rocha.

The Rondônia Day Tour event mainly focused on promoting international tourism partnership opportunities within the Amazon Region of Brazil in the State of Rondônia.

Rondônia is one of the 27 States of Brazil, located in the North region, bordering the Amazonas region to the north. The economy of the state of Rondônia mainly constitutes of agriculture, livestock, and mining with commendable production of robusta coffee, cocoa, soybeans and the largest fish species referred to as Pirarucu and Tambaqui.

It is envisioned that the efforts undertaken by the Embassy to elevate the visibility of Kenya in such important events including implementing the landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tourism Cooperation between Kenya and Brazil that was signed in May 2025, will result in the forging of strong partnerships between Kenyan and Brazilian tourism stakeholders and increase the number of Brazilian tourists to Kenya who were 4,145 in 2024.
