The CEO of the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) led a delegation of 8 Government Officials drawn from the State Department for Trade and KEPROBA to undertake an industrial visit and market intelligence towards developing Market Linkages in São Paulo, Brazil.
The delegation visited three Supermarket in Sao Paulo and held meeting with key Authorities dealing with Importation and the discussions focused on understanding the consumers preference, highly demand products, key competing products, linkages to importers and distributors as well as understand the pricing, taxes and standard requirements to penetrate into the Brazilian market.
The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Brasilia facilitated the meetings where visits were undertaken in Marukai, Empório Azuki and Tori Supermarkets in Oriental Liberdade area of São Paulo, Brazil.
It is envisoned that the strategic assessment will enable the Kenyan Government to disseminate the insight to the private sector participants towards increased exports of teas such as black tea, green tea, premium orthodox teas, white and purple teas, flavoured and infused teas as well as speciality roasted coffee and macadamia nuts to Brazil.
