The delegation, led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA), Ms. Floice Mukabana, was received by Mr. Maurício Manfré, Special Advisor for Foreign Affairs and Mr. Ricardo Cury, Coordinator of the Council for Consultants and Chambers of Commerce, both from the São Paulo Chamber of Commerce, at the SPCC offices in São Paulo.
Dr. Luiz Roberto Gonçalves, President of the Brazilian Council of Importing and Exporting Commercial Companies (CECIEx) also participated in the meeting where strategic engagements partnerships between Kenya and Brazil.
An institutional presentation was made highlighting the role of SPCC and CECIEx in promoting foreign trade in the State of São Paulo through advocacy initiatives, business advisory services, market intelligence, and international cooperation across various economic sectors.
The delegation was informed that SPCC serves as the Foreign Trade and International Affairs Department of the São Paulo Commerce Association, representing over 2,300 commerce associations and more than 2 million companies operating in agribusiness, industry, services, and trade across Brazil.
Discussions focused on advancing market linkages between Kenyan exporters and Brazilian importers and distributors, promoting premium Kenyan products including specialty teas and macadamia nuts, organizing joint webinars and business forums, and strengthening private sector collaboration through business-to-business engagements and trade seminars.
It is envisoned that a cooperative partnership between the SPCC and KEPROBA would unlock the existing potential to scale Kenya’s exports to Brazil through joint market intelligence initiatives, information sharing, trade missions, seminars, and the possible establishment of a Kenya Export Trading House in Brazil aimed at supporting the expansion of Kenyan exports into the Brazilian market.
