Deepening Commercial Cooperation and Trade Relations with Brazil during Courtesy Visit to the Municipal City of São Paulo.

Dr. Angela Gandra, Municipal Secretary of International Affairs at the Municipal City of São Paulo, received a delegation of Kenyan Government Officials on 20th May 2026 for engagements aimed at strengthening Kenya–Brazil cooperation in trade, investment, innovation, academia, tourism, and institutional partnerships. It was highlighted that the visit presented an invaluable opportunity to enhance the bilateral relations and explore new opportunities for strategic collaboration between the two sides.

Also present during the meeting was André Aleotti, International Business and Privatization Manager of São Paulo Negócios, the investment and export promotion agency of the City of São Paulo.

The leader of the Kenyan delegation, Ms. Floice Mukabana, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) underscored importance of strengthening collaboration with the City of São Paulo to expand Kenya’s exports to Brazil, enhance market linkages between Kenyan exporters and Brazilian importers, and advance foreign trade in agricultural and value-added products.

The meeting further highlighted that a cooperative partnership between KEPROBA and São Paulo Negócios would support the establishment of commercial operations and representation in the City of São Paulo, while also strengthening business matchmaking and institutional collaboration between Kenyan and Brazilian companies.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening economic cooperation and facilitating greater engagement between the public and private sectors in order to unlock the significant untapped trade and investment potential between Kenya and Brazil.
