The Mission led by Ambassador Peris Kariuki, Deputy Head of Mission, received a delegation from the State of Goiás, namely Professor Alexandre Igor de Azevedo Pereira – Professor, Researcher and Director of the Center of Excellence in Bioproducts (CEBIO), Professor Alan Carlos da Costa – Pro Dean of Research, Post graduation and Innovation and Ms. Lídia Maria dos Santos Morais – International Affairs Coordinator all from the Federal Institute of Goiano (IF Goiano) as well as Mr. Gabriel Da Paula from the Research Support Foundation of the State of Goiás (FAPEG).
The meeting’s objective was to discuss the development of technical cooperation relations between Kenya and IF Goiano as well as FAPEG in Biotechnology Research and Application towards increased agricultural production at lower costs, Sustainable Innovation, Capacity Development as well as the facilitation of Exchange Programs.
