The Mission led by Ambassador Peris Kariuki participated for the first time in the Central Brazil International Foreign Trade Fair (FICOMEX 2024) in Goiânia, State of Goiás. FICOMEX is reported to be the largest annual international trade fair in Brazil organized by the Commercial, Industrial and Services Association of the State of Goiás (ACIEG), bringing together 7 States of Central Brazil region including Goiás( GO), Federal District (DF), Mato Grosso (MT), Mato Grosso Do Sul (MS), Tocantins (TO), Maranhão (MA) and Rondônia (RO) across sectors such as inter alia agribusiness, logistics, pharmaceuticals, textiles, manufacturing and construction.
The Mission made a country presentation on the key trade and investment opportunities during the Seminar at the Global Space, mounted an exhibition at the rotative booth showcasing Kenya’s export merchandise and services well as undertook business rounds negotiations with key Brazilian institutions for linkages to Kenyan partner institutions.
