The Mission led Ambassador Peris Kariuki undertook a technical industrial visit to Rancheiro Foods in Anápolis, Goiás State and held a meeting with Mr. Shadi Naser – Export Manager, Mr. Pedro – Research and Development Analyst and Ms. Yasmin Filiu – Exports Assistant of Rancheiro Foods. The Mission was also joined by International Relations Students on an Immersion Programme from the State of Goiás, Bernando and Giovanna.
Rancheiro Foods mainly deal in the production of roast coffee as well as variety of confectionery cookies. The discussions encompassed the promotion of Kenya as a choice investment destination and possibility of developing partnership linkages in coffee and food processing, aimed at leveraging on the advanced food technologies adopted by the Brazilian industry as well as promote market access opportunities.
