The Mission has made another landmark achievement in Brazil by receiving the second and third commendations under three months on 18th October 2024, when Ambassador Lemarron Kaanto, Head of Mission, received the foreign Trade Commendation and the Pedro Ludovico Teixeira Commendation during the Second (2nd) Edition of Expo FecomércioGO in Goiânia, State of Goiás, Brazil.
This comes barely three months after the Mission received the Inaugural Award bestowed upon Kenya by Brazil, when Ambassador Lemarron Kaanto received the Honorary Anhanguera Order of Merit Commendation on 12th July 2024 from the State of Goiás, awarded by the Governor, Hon. Ronaldo Caiado.
The Foreign Trade Commendation and the Pedro Ludovico Teixeira Commendation are an affirmation of the aggressive economic diplomacy campaign that has been mounted by the Mission in Brazil.
These include aggressive marketing campaigns undertaken by the Mission and strategic promotion of Kenya’s visibility in the State of Goiás by participating in several trade promotion exhibitions, country solo expos, international conferences, and other seminars, thus developing technical partnerships for increased exports and market access of Kenya’s commodities and services.
The status of a Triple Commendation Honoree will open doors for Kenya’s Government, the citizenry as well as the private sector to new opportunities for increased economic collaboration with Brazil.
