The Embassy led a delegation of Kenyan public and private sector officials to take part in the 4th Edition of the International Business Fair (FIN BRAZIL 2025) that took place in Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina State, Brazil in May 2025.

The International Business Fair (FIN Brazil 2025) is a multisectoral international event that takes place annually as one of the premier business fairs in Latin America, organized by the Brazil-Portugal Chamber of Santa Catarina. The 2025 Edition was convened in Balneário Camboriú as the city’s economy is driven by several interconnected sectors such as tourism, real estate, and international trade due to its close proximity to the Ports of Itajai and Navegantes, which are among the busiest ports in Brazil, providing significant logistical advantages.

There were both international and Brazillian participants from various economic sectors including agribusiness, technology, tourism, construction and real estate, renewable energy, health, and textiles.

The Embassy led by Ms. Beatrice Kinyua, Commercial Attaché, participated in all key events including the Official Opening Ceremony as one of the key guest and made a country presentation on the available opportunities in investing in Kenya: Africa’s main strategic commercial hub.

From Kenya, there were representatives from the Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA), Ubunifu Association, Ash Trading General Limited as well as members of the vibrant Diaspora community led by the Chairperson of the Kenyans Living in Latin America (KELLA).

Ubunifu Association was able to display their merchandise at the Kenyan stand attracting buyers and potential business partners. The participants also took part in the business round table negotiations as well as industrial visits within the city including a visit to the Ports of Itajai and Navegantes.
