Kenyans in Brazil engage with the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs

H.E Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary (PCS) and Cabinet Secretary of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs officiated the Diaspora Engagement Event that was held at the Official Residence in Brasilia, Brazil on 15th May 2025.

Kenyans living is different states of Brazil congregated at the event which was organized jointly by the State Department for Diaspora Affairs and the Kenya Embassy Brasilia.

The PCS commended the Kenyans in Brazil for their dedication and commitment in striving to elevate the Kenyan flag at the global stage in their respective fields.

It was highlighted that the diaspora are a key pillar in Kenya’s national development agenda, encouraging the community to seize the expanding investment opportunities while fostering the bonds of unity in Brazil by promoting cultural and people-to-people ties.

The event was also graced by Ambassador Dr. Andrew Karanja, Head of Mission of the Kenya Embassy Brasilia; Amb. Lucy Kiruthu, Ag. Director General of Political and Diplomatic Affairs, State Department for Foreign Affairs; Amb. Ann Wanjohi, Director and Head of Liaison and Partnerships Division, State Department for Diaspora Affairs; Amb. Peris Kariuki, Deputy Head of Mission of the Kenya Embassy Brasilia; Ms. Beatrice Jemeli, Chairperson of the Kenyan Living in Latin America Association (KELLA) and other officials of KELLA.
