Kenya showcases Trade, Investment and Tourism Opportunities at the FICOMEX 2025 – The Central Brazil International Foreign Trade Fair, taking place from 4th to 6th September 2025 in Goiânia, State of Goiás, Brazil.

The Embassy led by His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Andrew Karanja mounted a Kenya Stand at the Central Brazil International Foreign Trade Fair (FICOMEX 2025) Global Space Arena in Goiânia, State of Goiás, Brazil, one of the largest trade fairs in Latin America.

The Embassy showcased Kenya’s export merchandise including tea, coffee, textiles, handicrafts while highlighting ready-bankable investment opportunities and incentives available in the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) and the Export Processing Zones (EPZ). Similarly, the Embassy presented Kenya as a choice tourist destination showcasing the opportunities for social collaboration in culture, sports, education and people-to-people connections.

The State of Goiás is the 9th largest economy in Brazil and has emerged as a strong partner for Kenya leveraging areas of interest such as agribusiness, trade, investments, innovation, technology exchange, and sustainable growth.

Mr. Rubens Fileti, President of the Association of Commercial, Industrial and Services of the State of Goiás (ACIEG) of Brazil, organizers of FICOMEX, visited the Kenyan stand and acknowledged the growing partnership between Kenya and the State of Goiás.

One of the key outcomes was the President of ACIEG committed to organize a Business Mission by Brazilian businesses to visit Kenya including, pursing the culminization of the collaborative framework with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce Industry (KNCCI) which has already been initiated.
