The Mission led by Ambassador Peris Kariuki, Deputy Head of Mission held a meeting with Mr. Danillo Oliveira, CEO, Friocentre Pescados during an industrial visit to the fish processing facility in Goiânia, Goiás State on 28th August 2024.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss possibilities for industrial cooperation with Kenya’s fish sector players through the formulation of strategic trade partnerships. Further, the Mission presented Kenya as a suitable investment destination for fish processing within the Special Economic Zones and Export Processing Zones where the Brazilian company would capitalize on the available incentives as well as access the regional and international markets.
An invitation to the 2nd Brazil High-Level Conference and Business Mission to Kenya scheduled for 1st to 3rd October 2024 was extended to Friocentre as they considered to be part of the delegation heading to Nairobi.
