Embassy Convenes a Virtual Preparatory Meeting to Facilitate Planning of the Brazilian Business Mission to Kenya: 2nd to 3rd February 2026

On 20th January 2026, the Embassy convened a virtual preparatory meeting to discuss coordination arrangements of the Business Mission to Kenya, organized by Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). The Mission, scheduled for 2nd to 3rd February 2026 would be comprised of a delegation of over 60 participants drawn from both the Brazilian Government and Private Sector.

The meeting underscored that the Business Mission is a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening the Kenya-Brazil bilateral trade and investment relations, through the forging of technical partnerships amongst several key counterpart Government Agencies and establishing buyer-seller linkages.

The preparatory meeting brought together officials from ApexBrasil, Embassy of Brazil in Nairobi, relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and representatives from the private sector, reflecting a whole-of-government and private-sector approach to the Mission’s planning.

It is envisaged that the Business Mission will provide a strategic platform to showcase Kenya as the Gateway Hub to Africa, the Silicon Savanna for innovation and digital technology, a premier investment destination and a reliable source market for key export products.
