The Embassy has been key to mobilize Kenya’s participation and representation by professional athletes in the Inaugural APAS Run 2026 scheduled to take place on 17th May 2026 in São Paulo, Brazil, ahead of the APAS Show International Fair.
Kenyan athlete Wilson Maina will represent Kenya in the run, showcasing the country’s globally recognized excellence in athletics and further strengthening Kenya’s sporting presence in Brazil.
The APAS Run 2026 serves as a precursor to the APAS Show International Fair, one of the largest food and beverage trade exhibitions in Latin America, which will be held from 18th to 21st May 2026 at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, Brazil. Several participants from Kenya will be taking part in both events that brings together international participants, serving as a platform to promote Kenya in not only sports, health, wellness but also in international trade, investment, economic engagements, and cultural exchanges in Brazil.
The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Brasília continues to promote Sports Diplomacy in Brazil as an important avenue for strengthening people-to-people relations, enhancing Kenya’s visibility, and fostering closer bilateral ties between Kenya and Brazil through sports, culture, trade, and international cooperation.
