The Embassy led by H.E Ambassador Dr. Andrew Karanja convened a Business Webinar on Unlocking Export Opportunities for Kenyan Products to Brazil on 25th September 2025.
The objective of the webinar was to explore avenues for Kenyan exports to acess the Brazilian market. Central to this was an in-depth presentation by the Brazilian Association of Supermarkets of the State of São Paulo (APAS), which provided valuable insights on Brazil’s retail market dynamics and evolving consumer market trends.
The virtual forum brought together a wide range of Kenyan businesses that were keen to expand their export products to Brazil.
Also in attendance was Ms. Wambui Mbarire, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Retail Trade Association of Kenya (RETRAK) who made an enlightening presentation highlighting opportunities for collaborative partnerships with Brazil. It was emphasized that there was great potential for integration of retail supply value chains, knowledge exchange, and adoption of innovative retail solutions.
It is envisioned that Kenya will participate in the upcoming APAS EXPERIENCE EXPO in November 2025 to showcase its diverse range of export merchandise and directly engage with Brazilian businesses. This participation is expected to further deepen trade linkages, enhance visibility of Kenyan products in Brazil, and foster new partnerships within the retail sector.
