On 3rd December 2025, the Embassy led by Amb. Peris Kariuki Deputy Head of Mission, organized a virtual meeting bringing together the Federal Institute of Goiano (IF Goiano) and Center of Excellence for Bioinputs (CEBIO), Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) and the State
Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss the partnership proposals presented by IF Goiano and CEBIO to collaborate with key Kenyan counterparts towards technical cooperation initiatives. This was part of the Embassy’s continued efforts to implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Crops and Livestock Development signed between Kenya and Brazil in May 2025.
It is envisioned that the proposed collaborations will facilitate deeper technical cooperation between Kenyan and Brazilian institutions, with a focus on advancing research, innovation, promote the adoption of sustainable bioinput technologies, enhance academic linkages and capacity-building in agriculture and higher education.
