The Embassy led by Ambassador Peris Kariuki, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. held a meeting with Ambassador Alex Giacomelli, Director of the Department for the Promotion of Trade, Investement and Agribusiness of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) at Itamaraty on 13th February 2025.
The meeting reviewed Kenya and Brazil’s agenda on deepening the economic cooperation in key area such as the enhancement of trade, investments and leveraging Brazil’s global position in agribusiness.
Notably, the meeting also discussed the possibility of Brazil participating in the upcoming Outbound Mission to Kenya under the auspices of the Inaugural World Chambers Federation (WCF) Africa Summit that has been jointly organized by the World Chamber Federation and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) from 9th to 11th April 2025 in Nairobi.
