Meeting held to discuss the Promotion of Tourism and Sports Cooperation with the CEO of Nova Flor at the Embassy Chancery

The Embassy represented by Ms. Beatrice Kinyua, Commercial Attaché, held a meeting at the Chancery with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nova Flor, Mr. Paulo Santos to discuss the promotion of tourism and sports cooperation between Kenya and Brazil, with particular focus on the participation of Kenyan athletes in the upcoming APAS Run Marathon 2026, scheduled to take place on 17th May 2026 in São Paulo.

The discussions further explored opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of sports and tourism. Emphasis was placed on positioning Kenya as a global reference point in athletics, particularly to the over 50 million Brazilians who have embraced running as a sport for wellness and healthy living.

In addition, the engagement examined prospects for promoting Kenya as a preferred tourism destination for Brazilian runners and sports enthusiasts seeking to experience and learn from Kenya’s renowned athletic excellence.

Overall, the initiative aims to advance sports diplomacy and tourism promotion as strategic avenues for strengthening people-to-people cooperation between Kenya and Brazil.
