The Mission led by Ambassador Peris Kariuki, Deputy Head of Mission undertook an industrial visit to Milhão Ingredients, the largest Non-GMO Maize processing plant in Goiás State located in Goianira on 11th October 2024.
The mission held a meeting with Mr. Valdo Rodrigues, Foreign Trade Executive Manager and Mr. Gustavo Afiune, Account Manager of Milhão Ingredients and was also joined by International Relations students under the FIEG Industrial Immersion Programme, Mateus and Vitoria.
The discussions focused on promoting Kenya as the choice investment destination for Milhão Ingredients in Africa as well as leverage on the food processing technologies for Non-GMO maize as one of the prioritized value chain products under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) national development plan.
