The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Brasília, led by Ms. Mary Kirui, Head of Chancery, received a delegation from the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) headed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ms. Floice Mukabana, during their official visit to the Chancery in Lago Sul, Brasilia, Brazil on 25th May 2026.
The visit took place under the framework of the KEPROBA Delegation’s Official Visit to Brazil, which commenced in São Paulo where the delegation participated in the APAS Show International Trade Fair. The programme further included several institutional engagements with the São Paulo Chamber of Commerce, the Municipal City of São Paulo, the Afro-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (AfroChamber), and the Regional Council of Commercial Representatives of the State of São Paulo (CORE-SP), as well as industrial visits to selected supermarkets and retail chains in São Paulo as part of market intelligence and export promotion activities.
The CEO of KEPROBA expressed appreciation to the Embassy for the support extended in facilitating the delegation’s engagements in Brazil. The meeting highlighted KEPROBA’s strategic role in advancing Kenya’s global export agenda through market research, business matchmaking between buyers and sellers, addressing trade barriers, capacity building for exporters, and participation in international trade fairs aimed at expanding market access opportunities. It was further noted that KEPROBA would continue to collaborate closely with the Embassy in strengthening the visibility of the “Make It Kenya” brand through its Branding Missions and Embassies initiative.
The Embassy made a detailed presentation of the notable achievements made in promoting socio-economic and political cooperation with Brazil across various sectors particularly in trade, investment, agriculture, green energy, technological cooperation and facilitating institutional linkages that has resulted in the conclusion of several MoUs and Agreements between Kenya and Brazil.
It was reaffirmed that both KEPROBA and the Embassy would continue working closely in implementing projects aimed at deepening Kenya–Brazil cooperation, including follow-up on commitments made to enhance diversified exports, strengthening partnerships with the key Brazilian institutions visited during the mission, implementation of the MoU between KEPROBA and ApexBrasil, and supporting the upcoming Kenya Run in Brazil, scheduled for later this year.
