African Solidarity Walk – Kenya’s Participation in Brasília

The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Brasília, led by H.E. Dr. Andrew Karanja, Head of Mission, participated in the African Solidarity Walk held at Parque da Cidade, Brasília alongside African Missions, members of the diaspora, Brazilian partners, and friends of Africa. The event celebrated African unity, cultural diversity, and strengthened Africa-Brazil relations through cultural diplomacy and people-to-people engagement.

Kenya, as Chair of the Culture and Media Committee of the African Group in Brasília, played a key role in the planning, coordination, and media advocacy of the event under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Andrew Karanja. The Embassy supported strategic communication efforts to enhance the visibility of African culture, unity, and cooperation.

The African Solidarity Walk also advanced the vision of the African Union and Agenda 2063 by promoting African solidarity, cultural exchange, and engagement with the diaspora. The event provided a platform for African Missions to collectively showcase the richness and diversity of the continent.

For Kenya, participation strengthened the country’s visibility and diplomatic presence in Brazil and the Latin American region while promoting Kenyan culture, tourism, and diaspora engagement. The initiative also reinforced Kenya’s role in advancing cultural diplomacy, African cooperation, and South-South partnerships between Africa and Brazil.
