The Embassy, led by Mrs. Mary C. Kirui, Chargé d’Affaires, was honored to receive Ms. Truphena Muthoni, HSC, an accomplished Guinness World Record holder, during her visit to Brazil.

Ms. Muthoni is presently in Brazil, engaged in an environmental and cultural conservation initiative aimed at fostering sustainable livelihoods, environmental stewardship, and safeguarding cultural heritage, especially within indigenous communities. Her efforts demonstrate a profound dedication to protecting both natural ecosystems and cultural identities through inclusive and community-oriented strategies.

She holds two Guinness World Records for the longest tree-hugging marathons, achieving extraordinary feats of 48 and 72 hours nonstop. These symbolic acts demonstrate her profound connection to nature and serve as a powerful platform for raising global awareness of environmental conservation.
