The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Brasília, under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Andrew Karanja, Head of Mission, officially inaugurated the Book of Condolence on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, in memory of the esteemed Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, CGH, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya.
The solemn occasion was presided over by His Excellency the Ambassador, who, together with the Embassy staff, officiated the signing of the Book of Condolence at the Embassy Chancery.
Members of the Diplomatic Corps in Brasília were cordially invited to visit the Embassy in order to express their messages of sympathy and solidarity with the Government and the people of the Republic of Kenya, as well as with the family and friends of the late Rt. Hon. Odinga.
The Book of Condolence will remain open for signing on the 21st and 22nd of October, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Brasília.
On the inaugural day of the signing ceremony, the Embassy had the honor of hosting H.E. Ambassadors and representatives of allied nations and organizations who visited to convey their condolences, including:

The Republic of Cameroon (Dean of the African Group of Ambassadors)
The Republic of Rwanda
The Socialist Republic of Vietnam
The Republic of South Africa
The Republic of Thailand
The Republic of Cuba
The Federal Republic of Nigeria

The European Union
