On Tuesday, 30th September, 2025, H.E Amb. Dr. Andrew Karanja, Head of Mission, led the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Brasília, Brazil, in welcoming Hon. Zeca Dirceu, the Federal Deputy for the Workers’ Party (PT) and the President of the Chamber of Deputies Parliamentary Group for Brazil–Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa, to discuss the parliamentary relations between Kenya and Brazil.
Both the Ambassador and the President of the Brazil-Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa Parliamentary Front reiterated their commitment to strengthening political, commercial, and cultural ties through increased legislative involvement. They also conveyed their appreciation for the growing and strong relationships between Kenya and Brazil.
The development of a Kenya-Brazil Parliamentary Group, which includes facilitating exchange visits and collaborating on issues related to trade, politics, and culture, was among the key topics discussed.
The Embassy of Kenya looks forward to continuing collaboration with the Chamber of Deputies Parliamentary Group. It affirms its commitment to strengthening the relationship between Kenya and Brazil through their parliaments for the benefit of both nations.
